Café Rosen is a quaint café in the center of Stockholm. Our goal is to offer a place
to relax, eat and drink a nice cup of coffee. We offer hearty food prepared with the
freshest ingredients; Cakes, tarts, pies and pastries all done by local bakers. It is
located in the Old Town (Gamla Stan) district of the city in a building called The
Wichman House “Wichmanska huset” built in the 1480s. Our café is a Swedish
owned family business that has been with us for generations. We pride ourselves
in giving our customers a real Swedish café experience with a modern twist.
The Wichman House is one example of the old medieval brick houses in
Stockholms Old Town. The old walls of the main part of the building rise from
street level and include the third floor. Our café which is situated on the ground
floor has been used for other purposes in the past such as a shop, storage, tavern
and was once a humble stable.
Today we are able to offer you coffee cakes, delicious pies and much more at this
historic location.
We serve a wide variety of foods for many different occasions. Come by and eat
amain course or try one of our tasty appetizers. Our menu is composed of mainly
traditional Swedish dishes like salmon pudding and meatballs with mashed
potatoes. We also serve different pastas and lasagna. To finish your meal off or
to compliment your coffee try one of your desserts like our Sticky chocolate cake
with cream.
We serve an assortment of beverages that can be perfect for your meal or just a
little break from sightseeing. When the weather is cold and you are in need for
some hot beverages we have coffee brewed how you like it. We even have beer
and wine to choose from. We have a couple of different brands of beer but mostly
we stock beer of Swedish origin and if you are feeling festive try our selection of
champagne.

easily be fixed. Just give us a call a few days in advance and tell us what you
want and when you want it and we’ll make it for you. So when you drop by
everything is all done and packed for you to take with you to you next destination.
